Big Announcement - New Etsy Shop!

The fall of 2015 had me frustrated. I was working on my Alki Point dollhouse, my first "modern" type build, and I just couldn't find good contemporary/modern looking mini furniture or décor. Not ones that I could afford, anyway. At the same time, I heard about a free 3D modeling program called TinkerCad. I took a tutorial, started designing minis, had my designs printed through Shapeways and never looked back. Since then I have expanded my skills and my equipment. I now own two 3D printers and can't imagine my mini projects without them.

Last fall I endeavored to create an entire kitchen with 3D printed minis for my Willowcrest build. The feedback I received from my friends and followers encouraged me to make them available to other makers and 3D enthusiasts. After much prodding from a certain reader who shall remain unnamed, I finally opened an Etsy shop with all the 3D stl files that I have ready to share.

If you are also intrigued by 3D printing and need to expand your products, come by the shop and have a look around. Prices start at $2.99 and if you order $50 worth, you'll get a 15% discount using the code THANKSFRIENDS.

For now, I have 39 stl files in the shop. I hope soon to offer all of the svg furniture and kitchen cabinet files I've created in Design Space, as well. This will take a bit longer, as I will need to cut the files again, taking in process photos to create instructions before I can offer them in the shop. I'll keep you posted.

I can't thank my readers enough for making this journey feel as though we are all on it together! Your support means the world to me, truly!

xo xo,

Jodi

P.S. For some reason Blogger won’t let me sign in to comment on blogs, but I’ve been reading every post and the trunkhouse is looking fabulous!

    1. Thanks so much, Julia! More and more folks are beginning to see a 3D printer as a common tool like what happened to paper printers in the 90's. I hope the mini files in my store find folks that need them!
I have heard this problem pop up a lot for Blogger members. I read several threads and can only conclude from them that it has something to do with the security settings. I hope you find clearer answers and a solution. Until then, thanks for your extra efforts to encourage and support me! 💗

  3. Congratulations Jodi! I've already taken a peek and noticed you can scale up or down which is great news, but I don't own a 3D printer . . . yet. All the best, I hope you receive heaps of sales (actually I'm sure your will).
    Big hugs,
    X

    1. ¡Gracias Pilar!

  8. This is really a big announcement! Congratulations!!! And my best wishes for many sales and many satisfied, happy customers!

Sadly I will not become one of them so soon as I'm still reluctant to buy me a 3D printer. And even more sadly my cousin Olaf is still refusing to buy one for the graphic agency he runs... Damn, this would be so perfect... he buys the machine and I would drop by from time to time to use it, but noooooo... so far he refuses to understand that this would really be a perfect thing. *LOL*

Anyhow, I hearted your shop as this is the least I can do to "support" you. And I still think it's a very good decision to offer your files and no physical goods, this will save you so much time, work and worries about delivery and customs. My fingers are crossed for many, many sales! Oh, and it was great to see so many familiar items in your shop! Just like meeting old friends! ;O)

    Hugs
    Birgit

Oh I wish Olaf would listen to your good advice! I think you would have so much fun with the 3D printing!!! Keep noodling him and maybe he will finally give in!

Thanks so much for supporting the shop with your love! Hugs!

  10. An excellent idea, dear Jodi. So much better than dealing with packaging and shipments. Certainly people who own or have access to a 3d printer will be happy to save themselves the time and expertism it take to design beautiful items such as shown in the photos, when they can purchase the plans you offer.. Sadly. I still barely operate my paper printer, but who knows surprises happen.

    Congratulations and good luck!
    Hugs, Drora
