Greetings fellow mini makers!
Now I must finish cleaning and organizing my work room, which is also my dining room, just in time to host 18 for Thanksgiving! I am certain to go through mini withdraw, especially since I have to wait until Saturday to start my Super Secret Mini Miniature Project! Shhh... Don't tell anyone!
I am so grateful, for family, for miniatures, for all of the billions of blessings and good things that make up my life each day, and especially for the friendships with kindred spirits that the blog and social media world have made possible!
I wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving, and hope you are enjoying this special time of year!
Jodi
¡Qué tengas suerte y pases un feliz día en familia!

DeleteMuchas gracias, Isabel! ¡Los días pasados con toda la familia son muy pocos!
Wow! I still have a few things left to do, but I'm so excited for you! Nice to be done huh? I'm just pleased because I'm still on track to be done before December.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me once you've brought it to the library you'll take more pictures of it in the new location? And some library patron reactions?
Thanks, Sheila! I am so much less excited about my build than I am about yours! You have done such a beautiful job, and I LOVE your NOLA house! Use every second until the deadline so you know you've done every little thing you wanted for her! I really hope you win!
DeleteHi jodi, Happy Thanksgiving to you!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for bloggers like you who are willing to share their knowledge and gorgeous artworks with all of us.
Your entry is stunning! Thanks for sharing the whole process with us. It has made me smile and laugh along the way.
That is so very kind of you to say, Sam! Thank you!
ReplyDeletejodi, this turned out wonderful because you put so much thought, dedication and so many ideas into this project.
ReplyDeletenow I am crossing fingers for you....
and understand that clean-up time has come... especially with so many guests ;-)
but in a way cleaning putting order into things agian is all about concluding a projects, too...
you can be proud of yourself!
marion
Thanks, Marion! I am just so happy to be among the "creative" who get to see their ideas come to life! No prizes necessary - being able to participate in this hobby is blessing enough! Oh, and I do LOVE an organized work space! So nice to begin fresh!
DeleteI love this part, when I get to see everyone's creation in all their glory. It's been wonderful to watch it come together and see just how much work goes into every little detail. I have to say, I especially love your sense of humour and how that has manifested in the build. Just fabulous =0)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pepper! I do like to express that humor in my builds! It is fun to bump into the uncomfortable at times and just enjoy the reactions they evoke!
DeleteIts been fun watching you build this project...all the details and you still finished on time. Awesome! Wishing you luck on the contest and hopefully a book too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you followed along! I plan to have a cover built and donate it to the library in March. My version of the story is written, and I would love to take some photos of the piggies to use as the illustrations. December is crazy busy, so Russ and I are planning a January road trip where I hope to find some great backdrops! Then, I hope to read it during many Story Time Saturdays in 2017! I love kiddos, and will be in heaven watching them marvel at a miniature display!
DeleteYay! It's been great fun to watch this build. You picked the perfect backdrop for the pictures, they turned out great.
ReplyDeleteI still have to sort through all the pictures I took and submit my entry. I was going to do it last weekend, but I got distracted by my mini inheritance. I was also going to take my Halloween decorations down, but now the jack-o-lanterns look cute with their white hats, so I'll leave them a few more days until the snow melts.
Thanks, Kelly! Getting the right light and cooperative weather is a crap shoot this time of year. I just loved that poster for the backdrop and was able to get it with a 40% off coupon!
DeleteAll of your project photos of the mobile art studio turned out beautifully! You'll have plenty of great shots to submit! I see more magazine covers in your future!!!
Your mini inheritance is a fantastic distraction!!! I am so enjoying the plunder photos!
By leaving the decorations up, you are just making the rest of the neighborhood feel good about themselves. It's a selfless act, and one I try to adhere to each year after the holidays. Who says January doesn't look good in lights?
It looks amazing! Congratulations! Have a very happy thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks Morgen! On to a new/old/sidetracked project! Hope your Thanksgiving is a special one!
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving! It looks great. I love all the details.
ReplyDeleteThanks Penelope! It was fun to try some new things!
DeleteHi Jodi! I don't know how I missed ALL of your HBS Creatin Contest blogs, but once I found them I read through them all and MY OH MY!!!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed seeing all of the construction progress: from the stonework, the making of the bricks, and the fireplace, the removal of the 3 pigs from their bases which by the way, gave me quite a chuckle, the making of they flower kits and the veggies for the garden, especially the tomato plants, etc. I was glued to the screen for each entry.
You have an Incredible storyline with 3 happy pigs and one not so happy- BIG BAD WOLF! :D
Great work Jodi, and Congratulations for getting your HBS entry done and taking such Terrific photos too! ♥
elizabeth
Thanks so much, Elizabeth! It makes me happy to know that you enjoyed the posts and the project!
DeleteHi Jodi! As usual my comment is late but I just wanted to say that your contest entry turned out amazing. I love to discover all the little details you added in each corner of the build - beautiful! I did not make it this year to the contest but it is so exciting to see all the projects that are going to be submitted. Can't wait for the results! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Susi! You are never late because it is always nice to hear positive words! It is so hard with real life happening to find the time to complete the contests - my hiatus from minis lasted nine years. I am so glad that you get to enjoy all of the blogging about them, though - the encouragement you give makes you an important participant to the whole thing!
ReplyDeleteHello Jodi,
ReplyDeleteWow! It is magnificent! All the hard work and time was well worth it! I have followed your work on this project, but seeing the final pictures took my breath away. It is just amazing!!!
Big hug
Giac
You are so kind, Giac! Thank you! I really enjoyed each part and am proud of the results!
